Our accommodation is ideally positioned in Kerobokan / Umalas to enable access to all the best waves on the island. We are 10 minutes from Berawa/ Canggu and in the early morning, it’s only 25 minutes to drive over to the East coast of Bali, perfect for dawn raids. Our close proximity to Sunset Road means that the fabled waves of the Bukit Peninsular (Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Bingin) are only 40 minutes away and now with the new toll road we can get to Nusa Dua in 30 minutes.
If you are looking to shop or party then the markets and bright lights of Seminyak and Canggu are 10 minutes away. Local transport can be contacted using the phone in the kitchen or you can use the Grab or Go-Jek applications on your smartphone if you would prefer a motorbike taxi (much quicker).
Within walking distance (400 metres) we have a couple of convenience stores, great restaurants and cafes (Thai, Italian, French, Mexican, Indonesian and 2 pubs). There is also scooter rental and laundries close by. Most eateries in the area will deliver to the front door if you don’t feel like venturing out. We have a complimentary phone for you to contact them and a folder containing all the menus in the kitchen. There is also a restaurant (Jay’s) directly across the road from us. They even have live music until 10pm on Friday nights.
We have 3 well appointed rooms for our guests each with an en-suite bathroom, hot water, toilet, a/c, fan and wardrobe. The rooms are serviced daily.
The pool is adjacent to the lounge/kitchen area and is kept refreshingly cool by the overhanging garden. We have bean bags around the pool area which are great for socialising and there is a hammock swung over the pool for those who like to take their siestas outdoors! There is also a dart board if you are up for a game of ‘Killer’!
We also have a roof top garden with awesome ocean views. You can see down to the Bukit Peninsular in the south, Canggu to the west, on clear days Mount Batur in the north and Nusa Lembongan in the east. This is our favourite spot for a beer at sunset with the crew! The area is shaded and open to the breeze so it stays fresh and is perfect for a post surf chill out!
It’s not often that people want to cook when they are on holiday with us in Bali but in case you do we have a fully equipped kitchen that you are welcome to use. Other features include the ever popular beer fridge and a safe deposit box. There is also a fridge available if you need to keep your snacks for the following day chilled.
We have a comfortable lounge area complete with tv, dvd player with a big collection of movies, bodyboarding DVD’s, a VHS player with some vintage boogie gold and a PS4. This is also where the WiFi is best.
Upstairs on the first floor we have the dining table which comfortably seats 8 people for our welcome feast and more importantly converts into a ping pong table! The brave play for stingers!
The enclosed garage at the front of the villa is perfect for storing boards and flippers. We also have a wide range of Reeflex Wetsuits products, Creatures of Leisure leashes and Limited Edition flippers on display for you to try and buy.
There are also water dispensers throughout the villa so you can always top up your water bottle and stay hydrated!
Next door we have Pak Wayan’s transport service! Pak Wayan speaks perfect English and provides guided tours to all the best cultural sites and points of interest in Bali! Very handy!
When You Check In
We guarantee you a warm welcome at the Bali Bodyboarding Villa. On arrival you will be shown to your room and given time to organise yourself. Then you will meet a member of staff downstairs in the lounge for your welcome presentation when we will take you through everything you need to know regarding the villa, breakfast, surrounding area and daily plan for bodyboarding. We will also give you a water bottle, villa keys and location card for the duration of your stay (RP100,000 deposit required) and answer any questions you might have! At this point it’s a good idea for you to say if you would like to rent a scooter or push bike. Now you are ready to go bodyboarding early the next day!
Nb If you are staying for more than one night then we will also need to take a photo of your passport so that we can register with the police that you are staying with us (standard practice in all hotels in Bali)
